Road transportation
• Transportation of the body to Russia and the CIS:

Regardless of the mode of transportation (aircraft, road transport), delivery of cargo 200 is a highly responsible task, complex both documentarily and organisationally.
This procedure requires compliance with specific conditions (storage, transportation of the body) and involves the preparation of numerous permit documents for the transportation of cargo.
The Sultanate of Oman has an Ibadi branch of Islam which adds nuance to funeral rites: the family's madhhab (Ibadi, Sunni, or Shia) determines washing details and janazah prayer. Bodies are repatriated from Belarus to Oman in several situations: Omani students and officers studying at Belarusian universities, oil/gas and logistics industry workers, Belarusian spouses of Omani citizens. The Islamic principle of 24-hour burial remains central — so in the first hours after death the family must decide between repatriation to Muscat and a Muslim funeral in Minsk. We give an honest time estimate and propose alternatives when needed.
Documents in Belarus: ZAGS death certificate, medical report from the State Forensic Expertise Committee, export permit, infection-free certificate, zinc coffin sealing act, alcohol-free halal embalming certificate. Apostille — Belarus MFA (Minsk, Lenina 19). Oman is not a Hague Convention member, consular legalisation at the Oman Embassy in Moscow is required (none in Minsk). Arabic translation by a sworn translator. Minsk–Moscow courier is arranged by us in expedited mode — the family does not travel to Moscow.
Logistics from Minsk (MSQ): no direct flights to Oman. Three main routes. Qatar Airways via Doha (DOH) with short connection on Oman Air or Qatar DOH–MCT — usually fastest, 24–32 hours. Emirates via Dubai (DXB) with short transfer on Oman Air DXB–MCT or SalamAir. Turkish Airlines via Istanbul (IST) with Oman Air IST–MCT or Turkish Cargo. Total time from Minsk morgue to release at Muscat International Airport (MCT) — 32–48 hours. Friday is weekend in Oman, cargo operations on reduced schedule.
Arrival in Oman: the cargo terminal at Muscat International Airport (MCT) has a modern HUM area. The receiving party (relatives or partner in Muscat) clears customs and Oman Ministry of Health, obtains the Burial Permit. The Russian Embassy in Muscat (Al Kharjiyah Street, Al Khuwair) provides consular assistance to RF nationals, RB — per bilateral arrangements. The body is transferred to Royal Hospital morgue or a Muslim morgue for washing. Janazah prayer — at Grand Mosque Sultan Qaboos or a nearby mosque. Burial — at Muslim cemeteries in Muscat, Salalah, Sohar or other regions.
We operate 24/7 including Friday and Saturday (weekends in Oman), Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and National Day. Cost: embalming and zinc in Minsk; documents, apostille, consular legalisation in Moscow; Qatar/Emirates/Turkish Cargo HUM airfare per kg (cargo 200–250 kg); clearance and ground services in Oman. Fixed quote within 1–2 hours after the call, transparent pricing, no hidden fees. Call +375 29 314-59-59 — Russian, English, Arabic coordinator if needed.
Main point — Muscat International Airport (MCT). Then hearse to any city: Muscat, Salalah, Sohar, Nizwa, Sur, Ibri. Oman is long — MCT to Salalah is ~1000 km, so we sometimes use a flight to Salalah Airport (SLL). The body is transferred to Royal Hospital morgue or a local Muslim morgue, taking the family's madhhab (Ibadi, Sunni, Shia) into account. Burial at the corresponding Muslim cemeteries.
In Belarus: ZAGS certificate, forensic medical report, export permit, infection-free certificate, zinc sealing act, halal embalming certificate. All are apostilled at Belarus MFA. Oman is not a Hague member — consular legalisation at the Oman Embassy in Moscow is required. Sworn Arabic translation is mandatory. In Oman Ministry of Health issues the Burial Permit based on these documents.
From body and documents readiness (18–24 hours) to release at Muscat International Airport: 32–48 hours. Via Doha (Qatar Airways) typically 32–36 hours, via Dubai (Emirates + Oman Air) and Istanbul (Turkish + Oman Air) — 36–48 hours. For Salalah destination add 2–4 hours for a domestic flight. Friday–Saturday are weekends, optimal Minsk departure Sunday–Wednesday. Ramadan work runs with night schedule.
Total: Minsk ground services (embalming, zinc, documents, apostille); consular legalisation in Moscow; Qatar/Emirates/Turkish Cargo HUM airfare per kg (cargo 200–250 kg); clearance and transport in Oman. Exact quote within 1–2 hours after calling +375 29 314-59-59. Transparent, no hidden fees — price fixed before any work starts.
Yes, mandatory. IATA and Omani customs require a sealed zinc liner, soldered and certified in Minsk, inside a wooden transport crate. Sealing at our morgue or partner agency with an act. Alcohol-free halal embalming is done before sealing — noted on the certificate and accepted by all madhhabs in Oman including Ibadi.
Apostille at Belarus MFA in Minsk (Lenina 19) on the ZAGS certificate and medical report, 1–5 business days or expedited same-day. Then consular legalisation at the Oman Embassy in Moscow — 1–2 business days. Minsk–Moscow courier adds 1 day. Both stages coordinated by our dispatcher — the family does not spend time on travel.
Yes, one relative may fly on the same Qatar/Emirates/Turkish flight in the passenger cabin with an Oman visa. Oman issues eVisa to Belarusian citizens online in 24–72 hours — fast process. On arrival at MCT the visa is already active. In Muscat we arrange airport meeting, transfer and, if desired, accommodation near the mosque or cemetery during janazah and burial.
Belarusian citizens can obtain the Oman eVisa via Royal Oman Police — 24–72 hours processing, 30 days validity. On arrival the visa is activated. The Oman Consulate in Moscow also issues visas by invitation from an Omani relative or employer. For urgent funeral travel eVisa is the fastest path. We help coordinate processing with the funeral date.
Yes, our Minsk dispatch — 24/7, 365 days a year. In Oman Friday and Saturday are official weekends, MCT cargo terminal on reduced schedule. In Ramadan local services shift to night schedule but cargo operations continue. For Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha we aim to deliver 1–2 days before the holiday. Belarusian holidays don't affect our work.
Call +375 29 314-59-59 immediately. First 6–12 hours we take the body to the morgue, start halal embalming and zinc coffin prep. In parallel our coordinator arranges the ZAGS certificate, forensic medical report, expedited Belarus MFA apostille and couriers documents to Moscow for legalisation at the Oman Embassy. Full package is ready in 30–40 hours and the body departs on day two.
