Road transportation
• Transportation of the body to Russia and the CIS:

Regardless of the mode of transportation (aircraft, road transport), delivery of cargo 200 is a highly responsible task, complex both documentarily and organisationally.
This procedure requires compliance with specific conditions (storage, transportation of the body) and involves the preparation of numerous permit documents for the transportation of cargo.
The Tajik diaspora in Belarus is growing steadily: Tajik citizens come to construction sites in Minsk, Brest, and Mogilev, work in the service sector, and study at Belarusian universities. When a close relative dies, families seek to bury them in Tajikistan — in their native jamoat, beside ancestors, in accordance with Islamic canons. Tajikistan is a Muslim country, and swift burial under sharia carries religious weight. Our service coordinates repatriation from Belarus to Dushanbe, Khujand, Bokhtar, Kulob, Khorog, and to any district of GBAO, Sughd, Khatlon, or the Districts of Republican Subordination, working with trusted partners nationwide.
In Belarus we prepare: death certificate from the local ZAGS, medical opinion from the State Committee of Forensic Expertise, non-infection statement, Health Ministry export permit, the deceased's passport, and the zinc-coffin sealing act. Belarus and Tajikistan are CIS members bound by the 1993 Minsk Convention: an apostille is generally not required, and Russian-language documents are accepted directly by Tajik customs and ZAGS. Russian holds the status of language of interethnic communication. In rare request cases the Belarusian MFA issues an apostille within 1–2 business days.
Direct flights Minsk (MSQ) — Dushanbe (DYU) are operated by Somon Air and Belavia; flight time is about 5 hours. Flights to Khujand (LBD) typically run via Moscow or Tashkent. Transit options exist via Moscow (Aeroflot, S7), Istanbul (Turkish Airlines), and Dubai. Total air repatriation takes 24–48 hours from call to handover. A road route through Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan (about 5,800 km) takes 8–10 days and is used for remote high-mountain Pamir villages. A sealed zinc coffin is mandatory for air transport.
At Dushanbe or Khujand airport the cargo is met by our partner Tajik funeral service; customs clearance follows and the body is handed to the family. Islamic tradition calls for washing (ghusl), wrapping in a kafan, and burial within 24 hours: janazah prayer at the mosque, burial at the local cemetery (guriston), memorial meals on the 3rd, 7th, and 40th days (khudoyi). We work in Dushanbe, Khujand, Bokhtar, Kulob, Khorog, Tursunzoda, Istaravshan, Panjakent, Kanibadam, Isfara, Vahdat, and any qishloq. Domestic transport to the final address is included in the price.
The dispatch desk operates 24/7, including Navruz, Idi Qurbon, Idi Ramazon, Tajik Independence Day (9 September), and all Belarusian holidays. Initial consultation and a quote are free. The turnkey cost from Minsk to Dushanbe starts at 3,500 USD; regional and high-mountain destinations are priced individually. Payment by cash, bank transfer, or corporate invoice. A fixed-price contract is signed before work starts — no hidden fees. Call +375 29 314-59-59 any hour; our crew heads to the Minsk morgue immediately and starts the paperwork.
We arrange repatriation to every city and qishloq in Tajikistan: Dushanbe, Khujand, Bokhtar, Kulob, Khorog, Tursunzoda, Istaravshan, Panjakent, Kanibadam, Isfara, Vahdat, Norak, Roghun, Qalai Khumb, and any district in GBAO, Sughd, Khatlon, or the Districts of Republican Subordination. International delivery is to Dushanbe (DYU), Khujand (LBD), and Kulob (TJU) airports when flights are available. A hearse then transports the cargo to the cemetery in the specified qishloq or jamoat.
In Belarus: death certificate (ZAGS), medical cause-of-death opinion, non-infection statement, Health Ministry export permit, the deceased's passport, and the zinc-coffin sealing act with inventory. For Tajikistan the Russian-language package is accepted directly — the two countries are bound by the 1993 CIS Minsk Convention. Russian is the language of interethnic communication. Apostille and consular legalization are generally not required. A CMR waybill and route sheet are added for road transport.
By direct Somon Air or Belavia flight Minsk–Dushanbe: 24–48 hours from the call to handover in Tajikistan. The flight itself is about 5 hours. Transit flights via Moscow, Istanbul, or Dubai add 4–10 hours. Road transport via Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan takes 8–10 days depending on the final address. For urgent Muslim burials a short time after death, we recommend only air transport with expedited document preparation — work starts immediately on first call.
The turnkey cost from Minsk to Dushanbe is approximately 3,500–5,400 USD depending on airline tariff, cargo weight, and the final address in Tajikistan. The price includes morgue services, embalming, zinc coffin with sealing, wooden crate, paperwork, air tariff, meeting in Dushanbe, and hearse to the cemetery. Road transport is 30–40% cheaper. For high-mountain GBAO districts the price rises due to difficult road conditions. An exact quote follows address confirmation.
Yes, for international air transport and Tajik customs clearance a hermetically sealed zinc coffin is mandatory — this is an IATA rule and Tajik national law. Sealing takes place in Minsk at the morgue or our agency, with a signed act and detailed inventory. The zinc unit sits inside a wooden transport crate. By Islamic tradition, after arrival in Tajikistan the body may be transferred for ghusl washing and burial in a kafan without a coffin — agreed in advance with the receiving side.
An apostille is generally not required for Tajikistan — the countries are bound by the 1993 CIS Minsk Convention on legal assistance. Russian-language documents are accepted by customs, ZAGS, and other Tajik agencies directly, as Russian holds the status of language of interethnic communication under the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan. If a particular case calls for an apostille, the Belarusian MFA (Lenin Street 19, Minsk) issues one within 1–2 business days at a state fee of one base unit.
Yes. Relatives can fly on the same Somon Air or Belavia Minsk–Dushanbe flight in the passenger cabin, or ride in the support vehicle during road transport. A visa-free regime applies between Belarus and Tajikistan for citizens of both countries (stays up to 30 days on an international passport). We help with ticket bookings, travel paperwork, and a seat in the minivan following the hearse. For the Muslim washing rite and janazah prayer, male relatives' presence is especially important.
Citizens of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and most CIS states enter Tajikistan visa-free for up to 30 days. OVIR registration is required for longer stays. Third-country nationals may obtain an e-Visa Tajikistan online within 3 business days, or a consular visa. Visiting GBAO (Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region) requires an additional permit, which we can arrange. We also advise on hotels in Dushanbe and the regions.
Yes, our dispatch operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — including New Year, Christmas, Navruz, Idi Qurbon, Idi Ramazon, Tajik Independence Day (9 September), Victory Day, and all Belarusian holidays. Islam calls for swift burial, and we factor that in. Minsk morgues operate round the clock, ZAGS issues certificates on weekends via an on-call desk. Somon Air and Belavia flights to Dushanbe run on schedule without breaks. Call any time at +375 29 314-59-59.
We help reconstruct the package: duplicate death certificate from ZAGS (1–2 days), medical statement from the institution where death was confirmed, passport copy via the migration service. If the deceased is a Tajik citizen without valid Belarusian documents, we coordinate with the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Minsk, which issues a national death certificate and export permit. Full reconstruction takes 2–5 business days; urgent cases can be accelerated to 1–2 days.
